New import tools for a site of Minecraft building plans, from file upload to a published build.

  • Wrote a Rust and WebAssembly converter for Sponge and Litematica schematics, exact to vanilla block states.
  • Built the admin import wizard: upload, 3D preview, material matching, a rights check, and AI text suggestions.
  • Set up R2 asset storage and the staging and release pipeline.

  • Built the portal with React, TanStack, Rust, and Loco.rs.
  • Designed user management, authentication, and data handling for developer projects.
  • Added analytics dashboards for engagement and retention, tested with Vitest and Playwright.

Product engineering on the open-source analytics platform, across the TypeScript front end and the Clojure back end.

  • Shipped the embedding SDK that brings Metabase questions and dashboards into other products.
  • Redesigned global search, with new filters for open-source and enterprise customers.
  • Made dashboard filters connect themselves to similar queries, with an explanation and an undo.

First engineer on a data-lineage and catalogue platform, building the product interface front to back.

  • Led the move to Vue 3 and Vite, which cut build times by half.
  • Created a search language for finding data assets, with shareable saved views.
  • Cut impact-analysis load times by 30% and open-sourced an Amundsen lineage connector.

Product and integration work on a short-link tool for teams, in React and PHP.

  • Built the Apps page with the company designer, so new teams can see how go links fit the tools they already use.
  • Rendered the page on the server with React and PHP, and kept its high search ranking.
  • Wrote the spec and the first version of the Jira plugin, which makes go links clickable in Jira descriptions.

  • Built a regression-testing tool.
  • Built the interface for an in-house Kubernetes deployment tool.

Developer-platform work on the internal artifact repository, in Python and Splunk.

  • Found where repository use was wasteful with Python, which made file downloads faster.
  • Pinpointed unusually large files, so storage was used better.
  • Built Splunk dashboards of unusual usage for management, and rolled the work out to 25,000 developers.
